Welcome 5th Grade Band!

Welcome 5th graders to our Mercer Island Band program! The majority of the members of our no-cut, all-inclusive, Pride of the Island MIHS marching band, started here in the 5th grade marching band with instrument-specific class instruction.

The first two band lessons (parent and student) are on the evenings of Monday, September 19 and Wednesday, September 21st.

2022 Concert in the Park, pc: Scott Stone

All donations from the Concert in the Park in August, went towards purchasing new MIHS marching band uniforms, which will be worn with pride by future generations of the MIHS Marching Band and as they march in the 2023 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.

Special thank you to Natalya Ageyeva, Allen Park, the Russian Chamber Music Foundation of Seattle, and all of the performers for donating their time and talent to make this concert possible and to help raise money for the Mercer Island High School Band's new uniforms.

Thank you Alumni Parents for a great pizza party and supporting the new uniform campaign!

Thank you to our wonderful hosts Carolyn and Herb Bone with Erinann Childress, Shelly Shay, Leslie Moore, and Tracey Dubofsky for our gourmet, artisan, wood-fired pizza dinner. And thank you to everyone who attended for supporting our new uniform campaign!

All proceeds from this pizza dinner are going towards purchasing brand-new marching band uniforms that our current MIHS marching band students will wear when they represent Washington State and march in the 2023 Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade.

If you couldn't make the event, donations are always gratefully accepted.
